Results of the OPTISGE PROJECT at EAGE GEOTECH 3rd Geoscience Technologies and Applications Conference 2024
The preliminary results of the Polish-Norwegian project entitled “Optimization of Shallow Geothermal Energy Resources for Green Transition (OptiSGE)” were presented by the employees of the Lower Silesian Branch of PGI-NRI during the EAGE GeoTech 3rd Geoscience Technologies and Applications Conference 2024 which took place between 8-10.04.2024 in The Hague.
New UNESCO Global Geopark in Poland
The Land of Extinct Volcanoes Geopark has officially joined the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network. It is the third area in Poland with this title, alongside the UNESCO Holy Cross Mountains Geopark and the UNESCO Muskau Arch Geopark.
Trans-Atlantic collaboration in the research network "Renewable Resilience: City-Scale Geothermal Energy Everywhere"
„Renewable Resilience: City-Scale Geothermal Energy Everywhere” is a research network operating since 2023 under the terms of the John Wesley Powell Center for Analysis and Synthesis, which is a part of the United States Geological Survey (USGS). Activities of the network are related to low-temperature geothermal energy and various underground geothermal energy storage systems.
